TW is a bit different than most Weyrs. Not everyone is just arriving. Instead, there are characters that should have known each other for a Turn or more, and since that can be tricky, we're going to figure that all out. Right here.
This is gonna be a long, discussion-filled thread, guys. It's time to figure out what sort of relationships are between all these people. The most important part here is the riders. They were all at Southern together before, and they've all been at the Weyr for the Turn it's been existing for. They all survived Ending Fall together. Point is: THEY KNOW EACH OTHER. WELL.
There may be others who have been at TW for a considerable time. Medusa is one of these. If your character is, too, post it nice and big.
PEOPLE WHO SHOULD KNOW EACH OTHER: (And yes, yes, some of these aren't finished bios yet. Whatever. Suck it up. They WILL be finished or I'll hit things.) -Weyrwoman Avine & Gold Sereldeth -M'laus & Bronze Isaath -Weyrhealer C'fael & Brown Ansyth -Weyrhealer L'natic & Blue Bravesth -S'tia & Blue Khalaedeth -K'nan & Green Chalchiuith -A'ku & Green Moth -Rhysia & Green Raeterith -Candidate Medusa -Candidate Peradan
plus 1 more brownrider, 2 more blueriders, and 2 more greenriders.
Yes. ALL of those people SHOULD know everybody on that list. And not just as acquaintances.
So basically, what I neeeed you guys to do FIRST is post a little caption about each of the characters that belong to you - something sort and sweet that will give people an idea of who they are. That will be documented in the next post.
THEN, start discussing. Talk to the other chars' players. Figure out what they think of each other, and what their relationship is.
Also, feel free to post this form:
Character's Name: (rider or dragon) Opinions on... -(char 1): opinions here.
-(char 2): opinions here.
-(char 3): opinions here.
And just add as many spots for as many chars as you want to dish out on. This is to use if you char has a crush on someone, avoids them, respects them, wishes they were dead, works well with them, wants to spend more time with them, etc.
This is gonna be tricky, but COME ON. We can do iiiit!
-REKY
ETA: On the topic of FLIGHTS. If your green is greeny enough to have kept up her normal flight tendencies, that's fine. HOWEVER, because it would be weird to have these 5 greens flying three times each with so few males, and everyone flightlust-sleeping with everyone else would be quite awkward, you can say your green only flew once, or not at all, if you like.
It's believable, anyways. Big world changes tend to affect the dragons, too, so... yeah. Like, Sereldeth flew when she shouldn't have, so she could have kidlets, so greens can NOT fly when the should. [/blockquote]

So Candidate Peradan: *Is authoritative and curious- a mixture of Sookie Stackhouse and Nancy Drew *Was a journeywoman vintner at Cove Hold *Has been at the Weyr for around 10-11 months, very shortly after the dragonriders settled there *Grows food and medicinal herbs necessary for Weyr life, thanks to her knowledge of growing *Also old for a Candidate
Character's Name: Peradan Opinions on... Avine of gold Sereldeth -(char 1): Peradan has nothing but upmost respect for the Weyrwoman. Considering what Avine has had to face, she has done admirably for their small group. Her optimism is also admirable. Any weight that she can take off the Weyrwoman's shoulders, Peradan will help with. She would dearly love to be friends with the woman, but like everyone else in the weyr, finds Sereldeth slightly intimidating. There's something unearthly (or unPernly, as it was) about the Queen. Peradan is perhaps not as scared as some, but the healthy respect is there, tinged with intimidation that no other living creature can instill in her.
-M'laus of bronze Issath: opinions here.
-Weyrhealer C'fael of brown Ansyth: opinions here.
-Weyrhealer L'natic of blue Bravesth L'natic is an interesting figure, and Peradan remains quite torn on what to think of him. There's no denying the man is brilliant, but his experiments are often less than ethical. His invasive behavior often bothers Peradan, who has a very keen sense of personal space. None the less, she's grown used to him over the past few months, perhaps out of a necessity from growing the herbs he needs. Pern needs all the Healers it can get. Peradan very much likes Braveseth, finding his personality intriguing and his patience with children admirable.
-S'tia of blue Khalaedeth opinions here.
-K'nan & Green Chalchiuith K'nan is so /happy/. It makes his company truly pleasurable. He just seems grateful for everything, and Peradan knows that she can rely on the greenrider should she need a morale boost. Still, there seems to be something a bit off in him, as if he isn't being entirely truthful with his emotions. Unaware of his anger, Peradan instead regards him as a good companion, and someone who is always polite. He's not very good looking though. She steers clear of Chalchiuth whenever possible, given that she's not young enough to be spared the green's anger. Chal is a good Searchdragon though, and Peradan wouldn't mind one day asking if she actually has the potential to be a dragonrider.
-A'ku & Green Moth opinions here
-Rhysia & Green Raeterith It's hard to feel indifferent about someone who you've lived with for a relatively long period of time in harrowing positions, but that's exactly how Peradan feels. Rhysia doesn't stand out to her in one way or the other, though she's often mildly annoyed at the greenrider's propensity for theft. Her sense of cruelty, even if it is meant to be humorous, makes Peradan uncomfortable. They don't need any more of that. She likes Raeterith a bit better, as the dragon seems hopeful and helpful, but the two are so closely attached that much of her opinion of the rider rubs off on the dragon.

Character's Name: C'fael Opinions on... - Avine: C'fael looks up to Avine as a leader, as the one who saved them. He wants to help her, to make it easier on her and take the stress away whatever way he can - she deserves that much for saving their lives. May/maynot have a slight crush on her - though the crush might be partly due to Ansyth's crush on Sereldeth. - Sereldeth: blah
- M'laus: blah - Issath: blah
- L'natic: o.o Must... keep... in... line. Really, C'fael's constantly worried about making sure L'natic doesn't hurt anyone in his experiments, that sort of thing. Trusts him as a Healer, for the most part, just doesn't trust his bedside manner. Also will never admit this, but sees L'natic as almost another R'sey, because they act quite similar. - Bravesth: blah

- Avine: The big sister he never had. And his best friend. K'nan loves Avine in an utterly platonic manner. Even if Chalchiuith was a bronze or brown, he wouldn't allow male!Chal to chase Sereldeth - it would be just wrong on so many levels to him. Hates adding to her stress with his problems, but tries to take away additional stresses as he can to make up for adding to her problems. - Sereldeth: blah

Character's Name: Rhysia and Green Raeterith *Is friendly, but she's fickle, a bit of a prankster, and comes off as a little insensitive. *She leaves without notice often. *She is a kleptomaniac, shamelessly at this point. *Likely not to have any close friends due to her fickle nature. *Secretly has a deep sympathy for just about anyone, but never shows it. *Practically surgically attached to Raeterith, who is a lot like Rhysia in pretty much every respect.
For the opinions, Raeterith pretty much shares the same opinion of all these characters as Rhysia does, the two being almost of the same mind. If they don't, it'll be mentioned.
Opinions on...
-Avine: Rhysia respects her, but it stops there. Always uncomfortable around authority figures {aside from Medusa}, she doesn't try to make friendship with Avine. She goes as far as taking orders selectively. That means, if she can understand what accomplishing something is good for overall, and she approves, she will follow through.
-C'fael: She thinks he's pretty cute, but only because compared to L'natic he doesn't come off as a guy who has the same experience as a healer, so she sees him as the lesser of the two. It all has to do with her interpretation of their personalities though. She likes to mess around with C'fael sometimes, which might give the impression that she fancies him. She might actually do so, as a matter of fact. Still, she doesn't seem to take him seriously.
-K'nan: She avoids him, mostly because she can sense the anger in him. She might be able to get along with him, but she won't be the one making attempts at friendship. She does know him however, though she doesn't really seek to spend time with him personally.
-Medusa: She actually respects Medusa for what she does. Though the two may not be entirely friendly, Rhysia will not challenge her like she challenges most authority figures. She finds it kind of cute that Medusa seeks to be a Candidate and she supports her thoroughly. She may even be a little cheerleader at times.
-Peridan: She doesn't really know her very well, and that's in a personal sense. Because she's often out and about and Peridan doesn't really go anyplace, she's acquainted to her but she doesn't seem to show much interest in her being around.
-L'natic: She's intrigued by him, stopping short of obsessed. Rhysia is actually shy about approaching him. Raeterith is actually a little wary of him. This is possibly the reason Rhysia is uncharacteristically shy when it comes to L'natic. Though shy, she will find an excuse once in a while to pop by for a visit. Just to add, she is not really romantically attracted to him. She is simply fascinated by his personality.

L'natic - Weyrhealer and Wingrider - Inquisitive to a fault, invasive and true to his name. - Likes mechanics and blood - Will disect the living - Prone to psychotics and space-bubble popping Blue Bravesth - Tolerant of the untolerable - Means what he says - Likes children - The Yang to L'natics Yin
A'ku - under construction Green Moth - Delicately fluttery - Sweet and curious - Fearless to a point and willing to approach the unapproachable - Has a very regal, lady-like aura smooshed by her blunt comments
Character's Name: L'natic of Blue Bravesth Opinions on... -A'vine of Gold Sereldeth: A bit dull and very womanlike--which makes her boring--L'natic still respects the Goldrider...to a point. He finds her to be droll and rarely any fun, but shows moments of rare affection through helpful herbs and medications to ease stress that appear on her desk. Its obvious he can never hate or even truly dislike the woman who saved his skin. He dislikes Sereldeth and likes to stick his tongue out at her when she isn't watching.
-M'laus of Bronze Isaath: VOI.
-Weyrhealer C'fael of Brown Ansyth: His playtoy extrodinare! L'natic very much enjoys the prescence of his personal assistant, and is more than happy to boss the other man around consistantly and constantly. Despite their different ranks, L'natic definitely believes--and acts on that belief--that he is superior in every way, and enjoys finding moments to make certain the Brownrider is well aware of it. Secretly, he is very fond of C'fael, but outloud his only use for the man is as a crash-test dummy.
- S'tia of Blue Khalaedeth: VOI.
- K'nan of Green Chalchiuith Never one-hundred percent pleased with this one, L'natic has begun to stalk him when he knows he'll go unnoticed. He finds the Greenrider's tendency to shirk his meals to be irritating, and often verbally complains about it. His usual mumblings of lack-of-nutrition are almost always followed by some false belief that K'nan is actually in love with him, and should come out with it already and stop starving himself just so L'natic will take an interest. He has been known to attempt to drug K'nan's drinks, using him as an unwilling guinea pig...possibly because he thinks the other may be immune to death.
-A'ku of Green Moth: VOI.
-Rhysia of Green Raeterith: To be completely honest, L'natic doesn't know what he thinks of this one. She is quite a strange creature, and don't think he doesn't know the difference between her saying "Hi L'natic" and "Hi C'fael"! Against popular belief, he can notice differences in voice tone! All in all, however, her sheepish manner about him makes him slightly uncomfortable, and he is more than happy to send her skipping along her way as quickly as he can.
-Candidate Medusa: VOI.
-Candidate Peradan: Useful, plain and simple. She brings him the things he--as a healer--is supposed to have, and unconsciously delivers the things he wants. He demands the wormy plants as well, and has a small jar of living ones he feeds some of the good herbs to. He enjoys bothering her as much as he can, as she makes fun reactions. While not as entertaining as some of the others, he certainly tolerates her...and might find some amusement in her existence.
Character's Name: A'ku of Green Moth Opinions on... -A'vine of Gold Sereldeth: VOI.
-M'laus of Bronze Isaath: VOI.
-Weyrhealer C'fael of Brown Ansyth: VOI.
- S'tia of Blue Khalaedeth: VOI.
- K'nan of Green Chalchiuith: VOI.
-L'natic of Blue Bravesth: VOI.
-Rhysia of Green Raeterith: VOI.

WINGLEADER M'LAUS: - jovial, hero complex, dedicated - tall, stubbly, muscular - trained as an apprentice harper - Impressed at seventeen
BRONZE ISAATH: - cheerful, kingly, flirty - only slightly smaller than Sereldeth - born at Fort Weyr - last remaining adult bronze
CANDIDATE JUBILEE: - sensible, possessive, mothering - shaves off hair, very boyish - refugee from Ista Weyr with brother - has flitters, Callisto and Gambit
CANDIDATE FAOLAN: - tolerant, temperamental, amoral - highly effeminate but tough as nails - solitary refugee from Nabol - twin sister was killed by zombies
Look, a handy guide to dragon ages! This tells you things like Rhysia, K'nan, and C'fael would have been weyrlings together and who counts as old.
Green Moth - 3 turns Blue Khalaedeth - 6 turns Green Tamrith - 7 turns Gold Sereldeth - 8 turns Brown Ansyth & Green Raeterith & Green Chalchuiith - 9 turns Green Jilteth - 11 turns Blue Bravesth - 12 turns Bronze Isaath - 14 turns

Evia: A serious and pragmatic person, a bit bossy and overbearing. Worries a lot. Green Tamrith: To put it simply, she's crazy. Clingy, odd and unnerving.
Opinions on... -A'do and Blue Montreth: opinions here
-A'ku and Green Moth: opinions here
-Avine and Gold Sereldeth: Evia respects her very much, and admires her. She feels indebted to her, because if Avine hadn't turned up, she probably would've gone Between during the Ending Fall. She likes the Goldrider, and thinks that she's doing a great job as Weyrwoman, especially considering the circumstances.
-C'fael: opinions here.
-K'nan: opinions here.
-L'natic: She doesn't approve of him. At all. However, Evia is uncomfortably aware of his similarities, in some respects, to Tamrith. This makes her feel uncomfortable, as does his behaviour, so she tends to stay out of his way, though when they do come into contact, her body language and behaviour plainly show her dislike. Bravesth, however, she does like.
-M'laus: She quite likes him, though slightly against her better judgement. Evia feels that he can be overly light-hearted and flirty, but he's so genuinely nice that she can't help liking him.
-N'kaio and Brown Kourteth: opinions here
-R'del and Green Jilteth: opinions here.
-Rhysia and Green Raeterith: opinions here.
-S'tia and Blue Khalaedeth: opinions here.
-Sambar and Blue Ephedrath: [if evia would let herself think about such things, she would find Sambar rather attractive]

Umm... guess I can jump in on the action... maybe?
CALIN. ..super-charisma-confidence(ish)-like ..bipolar drama-king ..apprentice fisherman turned candidate ..spontaneous, yet perfectionistic ..has been at The Weyr (or at least Weyr Hold) for, like, roughly-almost-a-turn-ish (Oh! And as a note... I sort of referenced in my post with Lesa that Calin never really formally introduced himself to Medusa. Yes. That is all, methinks.)
ELANA. ..comfortable with herself and her emotions ..logical to a fault and rather modest ..hard worker and apprentice smith turned candidate ..loyal companion with an occasional idealist streak ..has been at The Weyr (or at least Weyr Hold) for, like, roughly-almost-a-turn-ish
Character's name: Calin Opinions on... (Will be added when Lan isn't being easily distracted)
Character's name: Elana Opinions on... (Ditto)

A'do - Laidback, capricious, flirt, brave, reckless. Blue Montreth - Loyal, worrisome, Chatter box around humans/males, awkward around females.
Opinions A'do's opinions are in italics. Montreth's opinions are in blue
Weyrwoman Avine & Gold Sereldeth -Respects her, flirts vary lightly with her, always tries to distract her from her stress with silly jokes, and terribly sang songs. He's rather wary around Sereldeth, but is very courteous when speaking to the great Gold. Montreth likes Avine, and will follow any orders given. Sereldeth terrifies him, he often slinks by her, trying to stay out of her sight.
Wingleader M'laus & Bronze Isaath -Enjoys his company, finds him to be a very agreeable fellow, thinks he would be the perfect wingman when it comes to flirting with ladies. He likes Isaath, and thinks that he could teach his own Montreth a thing or two about being casual with female dragons. -He thinks M'laus is like his own rider in some aspects, but more mature and more capable, he like M'laus quite a bit. Montreth likes to go to Isaath when overwhelmed with worry, as Isaath always makes him feel happier. He is a bit in awe of Isaah's abilities with females.
C'fael & Brown Ansyth -Respects him and his healing arts, especially since he often has to visit due to doing something stupid! He enjoys having discussions with him, and enjoys helping the brownrider when ever needed. A'do likes Ansyth, but sometimes being bossed around rubs him the wrong way. He gets over it quickly though. -C'fael is good! C'fael helps take care of His when A'do does foolish things. Montreth is quick to slather C'fael in praises for fixing up A'do. Montreth also likes Ansyth. He does not mind being bossed around as much, and find him to be a very interesting dragon.
L'natic & Blue Bravesth -At first, he thought he was alright. But after time, he noticed how odd L'natic was. Now, he has a tendency to avoid him, and rarely makes eye contact when he does speak to him. He finds what he does to be good, but he would still rather keep out of his way. Bravesth is another story. A'do finds the dragon to be amazing, even if it's only for being able to understand L'natic. He enjoys conversing with the dragon when he can, and sometimes he will just sit near him, where they can be calm buddies. -Montreth is both scared and curious about L'natic. He can't make up his mind. The Blue rider's antics both terrify him and amaze him. Bravesth is the first person Montreth goes to for advice about things he himself can not figure out.
More to come soon.

Character's Name: Sambar and Blue Ephedrath --chivalrous, brave, wise, smooth-talking, a gentleman --scrappy, prone to getting into "honorable" duels --romantic at heart, always trying to woo pretty young things --Ephedrath is quiet, deferential, brave, gentler and far less aggressive than his rider
Opinions on... -A'do and Blue Montreth: Finds him amusing and is at ease around him. She approves of his bravery. Considers him a friendly rival when it comes to love interests. Ephedrath likes Montreth, but finds his frequent worrying to be off-putting, and so does his best to be a calm and stable presence when near him.
-A'ku of Green Moth: Thinks that he is touched in the head, and his openly disdainful attitude towards others makes him seem distasteful to Sambar. Ephedrath finds Moth entrancing, sometimes in a creepy way. He appreciates that she is a passive Green, but her regal nature and ineffable ways make him nervous to be the focus of her attention. He worries that he will say something to upset her out of his own ignorance.
-Avine of Gold Sereldeth: Sambar respects the goldrider and cannot help but feel loyal towards her. She finds her distant and cold, but for someone of her station, Sambar feels that this is right and proper. She becomes focused, obedient and quiet in Avine's presence. Secretly she harbors a small resentment towards Avine for having been the one to give her the option of fleeing Last Fall, buthttp://theweyr.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=plotting&action=post&thread=55&page=1 this will never come through in any of her exchanges with others, and she usually doesn't even realize that she harbors that resentment at all. Ephedrath can barely speak to Sereldeth, so oppressive is her presence to him. He respects her immensely, would never think to question her authority, but she gives him the creeps and he does not like to be around her.
-C'fael of Brown Ansyth: A fellow gentleman, Sambar approves wholly of C'fael, although she does not understand why he hangs about with L'natic so much. She does her best to provide a good example to him, and would probably be pleased to think of him as being "under her wing." Ephedrath is demyre around Ansyth, considering him to be a much brighter dragon. He respects him and is at ease around him, but is not inclined towards idle chatter with Ansyth, who seems too stoic for such frivolous talk.
-Evia of Green Tamrith: Thinks that Evia is a busybody, but she has half a mind to win her affections and thus puts up with the occasional annoyance, as any gentleman would. Ephedrath has a soft spot for Tamrith, even though she is clearly not-quite-right. He finds her sweet and there is something about her awkward kindness that he finds endearing. He is gentle with her and is quick to let her know that he appreciates her eccentricities; unlike Moth, who is equally bizarre, Tamrith does not seem so unnerving to him, and he enjoys showing off his gallant side to her.
-K'nan of Green Chalciuith: Likes that he is polite, but suspects there is something below the surface in the man, and she never feels quite at ease around him. Ephedrath is terrified of Chalciuith, and beats a hasty retreat whenever she comes too near. He finds her alluring and attractive, but her temper is too much for him to bear.
-L'natic of Blue Bravesth: She used to think that she would like L'natic; he is polite and eloquent, and obviously has a tendency towards genius. The past Turn has proved beyond doubt that the man is insane, however, and so Sambar likes him twice as much as she might have before, upset that he fooled her for as long as he did. This is the rider she is most likely to get her dander up about, for his invasion of personal space and roving hands are things she will not abide. Ephedrath likes Bravesth, believing him to be wise and generally deferring to his better better judgment. He is a little afraid that he will do or say something that offends the other Blue, but is generally calm around him, and unafraid to chit-chat.
-M'laus and Bronze Isaath: Another source of amiable competition, M'laus is someone that Sambar does her best to look good around. Occasionally she rankles at orders that he issues that she disagrees with, but will hardly ever make a fuss, knowing that it is her duty to do what he asks. Ephedrath enjoys Isaath's company, usually getting a chuckle or two out of every conversation with the convivial Bronze. He even feels safe enough around the other to crack the occasional joke himself, usually calling attention to Isaath's habitual flirting.
-N'kaio and Brown Kourteth: Although she finds his grim demeanor and constant drinking a turn-off, Sambar feels a certain kinship with N'kaio, her only elder at the Weyr. She wants to do right by him and does her best to be cheerful around him, hoping that some of her spirit will rub off on the gruff old man. She looks up to him and generally wants to win over some of his affection. Ephedrath thinks Kourteth is dour and bossy, traits that he does not much approve of. He doesn't like being griped at and does his best to stay out of the Brown's way, wary of being told that he is doing something wrong. He would never tell Kourteth to stuff it... but he might think about it really, really hard.
-R'del of Green Jilteth: She finds R'del unassuming and pleasant company, although she has no real affinity for his friendship. He strikes her as a lady's man, and although this gives them some common ground, she just hasn't found time to try to get to know him better. Ephedrath enjoys Jilteth's company, thinking her sweet and every bit the sort of Green that he enjoys. He has learned through the warnings of others not to mention her littleness, and instead takes pains to exaggerate her size, hoping that it will please her.
-Rhysia of Green Raeterith: Considers her enigmatic and odd... and thus, must know more about her. She does her best to be alluring to the girl, using the wisdom imparted by age and her gentlemanly ways to seem like a good catch. She doesn't know of her kleptomania, and surely would not approve if she did. Ephedrath finds it hard to get to know Raeterith, as she spends so much time clinging to her rider. He doesn't really feel one way or another about her.
-S'tia of Blue Khalaedeth: He seems nice enough, but their combined short tempers seem like a bad combination when either is upset. Ephedrath thinks that Khalaedeth is a little smothering but appreciates his jovial nature and his desire to help others. It is easy to talk with the Blue and he hardly ever worries about unduly upsetting him.
