Character Rules

1. Here at The Weyr, we support believable, realistic characters. So no, your character cannot be the blue-haired son of Sasuke and Russia from Hetalia. We just won't allow it. Please keep to the Pern canon layout for characters. BASICALLY, they're real people. If you wouldn't see them on Earth a couple centuries ago, you wouldn't see them on Pern.

2. Each user is limited to 2 characters slots at first. Hitting certain post marks will increase the limit.
At 40 posts, you may have 4 characters.
At 200 posts, you may have 6 characters.
At 400 posts, you may have 8 characters.
At 600 posts, you may have 10 characters.
At 1000 posts, you may have 12.
Staff members are exempt from this rule.

**HOWEVER, for as long as THIS message is here, you are allowed to start with THREE character slots, if at least one of the slots is a rider.**

3. Please follow the proper procedure when applying for a character. That is, fill out the template, post it in the 'Character Approval' forum with the appropriate title (Name here, Rank here), and wait. A staff member will review your posted char bio, and either approve it or decline it. If decline, they'll give reasons as to why, and how to fix it. Make the necessary changes, post that you've changed it, and a staff member will look at it again. Please don't get upset if we decline - it's not that we don't like your character, it's just that something doesn't fit with TW history or something could be better. We just want to help your characters be awesome!
